Our Projects
Power Construction Group prides itself on the services it has provided to the Great Lakes region. We have flawlessly completed projects for the Michigan Army National Guard, State of Michigan, U.S. Forest Service, and Michigan Department of Natural Resources as a prime contractor. We have also worked on projects for the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Navy, University of Illinois, and Chicago Housing Authority as a subcontractor. To date, our projects have ranged in size from $15,000 to upwards of $10,000,000.

Replace Fuel Point

Non-Motorized Trail Improvements
Petoskey State Park
Michigan Department of Natural Resources
Project Magnitude: $450,000
Our project at Petoskey State Park is for the reconstruction of the existing non-motorized trail in order to reduce intersections between vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This project included new asphalt and gravel pathways, retaining walls, sand dune reconstruction, and site restoration. Power Construction Group supervised, performed project management, safety compliance, and quality control over one of our excavating contractors.

HVAC Remediation
Air Station Traverse City
U.S. Coast Guard
Project Magnitude: $950,000
Project Management, Supervision, Quality Control of the paint shop and medical clinic renovation. Installed new air handling units for medical clinic and Exchange. Renovated medical clinic in its entirety and provided proper controls for all installed HVAC systems. Submitted all required documents prior to construction procedure, daily reports, QC reports, safety and designated inspections, quality control of all three phases for DFOWs, RFIs and closeout documents.

Storage Building Design/Build
Calumet Harbor
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Project Magnitude: $2,500,500
Project management, Supervise, Safety and Quality Control of the demolition of existing structures, changing the site’s slope grade, building a brand new 4,400 square foot metal storage structure with controlled/conditioned space compliance for year-round operations, installation of water distribution/sanitary systems, electrical systems and mechanical systems. Configuration/install of security systems and power for high security fencing/gates and access capability systems.

Concrete Replacement
Selfridge Air National Guard Base
Michigan National Guard
Project Magnitude: $449,000
Supervise, Project Management, Safety, and Quality Control over one of our leading concrete subcontractors for the removal and replacement of 3,600 yards of concrete. They also demolished existing storm sewer system and replaced it. Power also oversaw the installation of new charge stations for the fuel trucks in the area of work.

Multiple HVAC Replacements

Project Magnitude: $1,131,000
Change Order: $150,000
Supervise, Project Management, Safety, and Quality Control over one of our premier HVAC subcontractors for the HVAC replacements in multiple buildings. Our subcontractor removed existing HVAC systems in buildings to include boilers, gas-fired furnaces, rooftop packaged air handling units, condensing units, interior air handling units, and ductwork. We self-performed carpentry work to include removal and replacement of ceiling tile and grid, painting, patching, and wall penetrations, window replacements, concrete house-keeping pad installs and masonry work.

Window Replacement
General Services Building

Project Magnitude: $180,000
Our project at the General Services Building is for the replacement of 55 fixed aluminum windows to increase the buildings efficiency. During this project, we supervised, performed project management, safety compliance, and quality control over one of our select window contractors. Power Construction Group self-performed the building restoration to include trim work, drywall, and painting.

Multiple Shower Building Construction
Brimley State Park

Project Magnitude: $2,300,000
Our project at Brimley State Park includes the demolition of 3 shower/toilet buildings and the construction of 3 new state-of-
the-art shower and restroom facilities. During this project, we supervised, performed project management, safety compliance, and quality control over our superior team of subcontractors. Scopes of work include: site, concrete, block, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and many more to provide a turn key facility.
